what buffer salts do u use for breeding? i use aquasonic rift lake cichlid salt, what other buffers should i be using?

I dont think buffers are the best way to induce spawning.. they're just gunna have your hardness levels swinging which i think would reduce your chance's of getting them to spawn.

Aquasonic Rift Lake Conditioner contains everything you need for rift lake cichlids. It contains a heap of different ingredients including calcium and magnesium chloride and carbonates. You don't need to add anything else.
If you buy it in a 10 or 20litre bucket it is quite a bit cheaper than smaller bags. However, if it doesn't get used quickly it can absorb moisture. Try to keep it in a dry room rather than near the fish tank.
