Okay y'all I feel like I'm gonna drown if I swallow anymore conditioned water!! I am trying to siphon the new water back into my tank from these buckets which have been aerating for about a half hour or so (thank you Colin_T). How can I make this happen without drinking the water. I can't go to the fish store and I really, really, really don't want to have to lift these buckets. Any suggestions are beyond appreciated!! Thank you!!

the buckets would have to be higher than your fish tank for the syphon to work. You may need to buy a pump to pump the water into the tanks.

You don't need to siphon the water back to the tank unless you have a big tank.
Just get a bucket's scoop to scoop the water and pour it into the tank.

For a big tank, you can either use a water pump/submersible pump or you can use a hose to connect directly from the tap to your tank.

For siphoning the tank water out, get a siphon with priming bulb .
You can order it online.
See my attached photos below.

Yeah that's what I figured. I just used a pitcher and got it down so I could lift them. I am exhausted!! When I tested the water yesterday, ammonia was .5 nitrite 0 and nitrate was between 10 or 20. And little man that I "rescued" from Petco is a happy camper and I LOVE how the two OG's have been lovin on him as soon as he moved in! ❤️

Here is a video on how to remove water from the tank and refill it with fresh water by using a water pump.
Find a suitable water pump with a good flow rate.

Oh and I have a 75gal that I just did a 50% water change.
for my 75g, i spihon out water, and scoop it back in with a maltesers bucket. anything of that size works great
it only takes a few scoops until the bucket is light enough to pour directly into the tank

I was using buckets I just picked up a python no spill clean. Hooks to your sink to pump out the water and to pump it back in. Buckets are no fun for my 125g and 55g. Just tried it today works perfect
