Im going to set up a new 30 gallon tank, and was wondering how i would purify my water (apart from the ammonia/nitrite cycling) and when im doing water changes how would i go about this?? :S
How would i make sure that my water is clean before putting it in my aquarium???
How long would i need to store the water to make sure of this before i do the change???
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. :kana:

I don't where where you are and the quality of the water that you're going to use. Mainly the first thing to do is to add a dechlorinator that also neutralizes chloramin. Each time you do a water change, add the dechlorinator according to instructions. Doing this should be sufficient for your fish without the need to completely purify the water. In fact, there are minerals in the water that fish require and completely purifying the water would remove these trace elements which could prove detrimental to your fish. Please remember that the dechlorinator should be added during the cycle and not just after.
