Is there anyway to avoid water changes, i'm just wondering as to what people with large tanks do such as aquariums and that japanesse man with the fantastic planted tanks.

No you cant avoid them they are good for the fish. Just imagine it as someone opening a window and giving you a breath of fresh air lol. I have a big tank and i do 10% weekly .

umm, if you had a HUGE tank with VERY TINY AMOUNT of fish and TONS of plants!
