Hi - very cold in the Northeast portion of US (amongst other places in the world).
Anyway, when doing water changes, how do folks warm the new water so it is reasonably close in Temperature of your tank water?
We keep our house cold (usually set heat to 66-67 degrees Fahrenheit), and the tank is approximately 78 degrees.

Thanks!

use a kettle. Boil some water and add to your bucket. Easy!

Alternatively, if you use a combi-boiler (note sure if these are common in the US), then water from the hot tap mixed with your cold should be fine. (This is what I do).

Unless you have very old plumbing you can mix the water at the tap.

Just add some Prime (or similar product for chlorine) to the boiled water

You can mix the hot and cold water as long as you use a dechlorinator that removes heavy metals etc all will be good!
