i am sorry but i had to choke on my banana when i read this! :S

Tetra Easy Balence
it is the second product down

Does this mean that everyweek that i slog doing water changes can be done in less than ten seconds?? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

i dunno but its really cheap buy one and test it 6 month water changes wow......just...wow.....if it works that would be great 6months with no water changes

Apart from cleaning the, as Richard put it so eloquently, "fish poo and muck" up, water changes also keep your pH steady. Specifically, the water changes add new alkalinity or buffering capacity to your water. Otherwise, via the nitrifying cycle, the pH slowly lowers... without that buffer the pH can drop precipitously.

No doubt the product in question adds some buffering capacity, but I could not imagine using the same water for six months. Who knows what other stuff, airborne chemicals in parts per million or parts per billion and other toxins may add up over that long of a time?!?

Very, very nice word, precipitously, you can't squeeze that in often enough eh>?
Anyway, there is no product out there that can eliminate the need for a water change, and you should read that closely too, a lot of chemicals that eliminate nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia, also kill your biofiltration bacteria. Just be careful!

Just thought i'd bring this up,
Tetra had loads of people buying this product,
even so that they have introduced a 500ml bottle.
They say that you can add this everyweek, and after six months do a water change and start over.
You do need something to clean the gravel which this might do the trick, its the first product.
Maybe just maybe. -_-

Besides physical wastes, fish themselves also give off hormones and many other chemicals that can never be eliminated without physically replacing old water with new water. This product is just another scam put out by Tetra (as most of their products are).

lol thatt product you put up would make you go through so many filters a month. I chnge mine every 3-4 weeks and my water stays nice and clear.

This is just scary, I don't believe for a second this can truely replace regular water changes. Just think of all the uneducated people out there that will believe this, those poor fish :(

I would say at best it could be used as an emergency if say health reasons or a lengthy vacation would make water changes very hard or impossible (who wants to trust a fish sitter to change your water properly?)

 This was one of my newbie(ish) mistakes. I bought some about 6 months ago (had been keeping fish fine for about 3 months before that) just to see if it did anything. What a load of DOO-DOO!!! :D All it did was leave a load of these white granules all over my tank. Nitrate carried on going up, and water still got dirty gradually!! Biggest waste of money!!! Thankfully I only got the small bottle. So there you go. I was the fall guy, and I'm here telling you guys not to waste your money!!!!!
