My tank been running for about a month now, cycled quickly and ive got some clean up crew in there.

But Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrates are all zero. Should i wait for Nitrates to appear before doing a water change, or do one anyway to freshen things up before adding any fish?

i know i need to wait at least another week or two before i even think about adding any fish!

Nope, just do a water change a day or two before you add fish. Sounds like your dieoff was low and the small amounts of algae you had gobbled up what little nitrates were produced. If your biological readings are 0 as mentioned and your temp, pH and salinity are correct (77-83, 7.9-8.4, 1.023-1.027 respectively) you should be OK to add fish anytime.
