Hello, my betta fish made his first bubble nest (woohoo!) but I have to do a water change today. How can I take out the water(I don't have a vacuum or syphon) without destroying his bubble nest? Thanks.

they are pretty sturdy and sticky so you can try to scoop it out then put it back in or depending how big your tank is carefully scoop the water out with a cup and the nest should be fine as long as you don't touch it.

congrats on the nest.. its always exiting when they build their first.

When bettas build bubble nests, they usually pop a few bubbles to re-build them anyway, if they think they are wrong. They are quite fussy when it comes to building a nest. So breaking the nest won't matter, they will just be busy and happy building another one. :good:

My betta used to get mad at the filter because it used to destory his nests. Then he used to chil on top of the filter instead.

(He used to LOVE small amounts of water...)
