I have a well established 65 gallon freshwater tank, no live plants.
I just did a water test yesterday and all paramaters were normal.
Today I added 8 Lemon Tetras. This also happens to be the day I do my weekly water change.
My question is, should I wait till next week to do a water change so they can acclimate first? Or are monthly water changes better than weekly?

Thank you for the help!

Weekly 50-75% water changes. I would let them acclimate for a day or two and do a water change then, and then continue with your schedule.

Id just delay the water change until tomorrow :)

But weekly water changes are best keeps consistency the fish are used to. Keeps water parameters steady too.

It takes fish weeks to acclimate to different water chemistries and if you bought the fish from a local fish store, they are likely already acclimated to your water.
Generally speaking, with the exception of old tank syndrome, there's no such thing as too much fresh water. More often, 'new' fish tend to succumb to old polluted water rather than fresh.
With the possible exception of a very heavily planted and very lightly stocked tank, weekly water changes are best at 50% or more in volume to maintain a high water quality. Many commercial systems do daily water changes and/or have flow through systems (but of course they typically have a higher density of fish than our home aquariums).
Some food for thought:

Wait a week before you do a water change.

The new fish will be stressed from being caught, bagged, moved to a new tank with potentially different water chemistry, and put into a tank with new fish. Doing a water change now will only stress them further.

In future try to do the water change a day or two before you get new fish, or better still, quarantine new fish in a separate tank for a month before adding them to the main display tank.
