I just did q 25-30% water change on my newly cycled tank. The water reading were these before the water change:

0.25 Ammonia
0 NitrItes
80 Nitrates

So what do I do now?

you wait for a while and then test the water again.

Hi dcj38, how long did it take for your Nitrites to drop to 0? I have similar water stats to you, though my tank hasn't completed its cycle yet.

My water stats:
0 Ammonia
0.25 Nitrite
80 Nitrate

I think your Nitrates should fall when you test your water again, as you've just had a water change.

It actually took quite a long time for my nitrites to rise and drop... Prolly 10 days. I am actually beginning to think my tank hasnt completely cycled yet as everything should be at ammonia and nitrites should be 0 when you have a fully established tank. My new results after the waterchange are:

0.25 ammonia
0 Nitrites
20 Nitrates

You may be able to get your ammonia level down if you changed the water again....I'm not sure.

Good luck
