Water Change Day And Fertilising With Ei

I have set the water change day for my EI tank as Monday as it fits in with life better than doing it on a Sunday. Sunday is set as the rest day. This is the same schedule as suggested in the pinned topic and I wonder if the rest day is better also being the water change day?

I do the water change at night, maybe 2 hours before the lights go off. Normally I add fertiliser in the morning so the nutrients are there when lights come on later in the day. Thing is, on a Monday, I dose in the morning, plants get their nutrients, then I do a water change and take out some of what I have put in that day.

Is this the best way to do things? I wonder if Monday should also be my rest day, so no nutrients, water change, then nutrients start again on Tuesday morning?

Or, in short, does it not make any bit of difference

lol no idea. I did my water change today and added the ferts straight away afterwards.

If I do that then I have gone pretty much two days without adding any trace/fertiliser.

I am thinking it may actually not matter two hoots, but I am curious, so the question was asked

I think it is important not to add the ferts and that do a water change lol, other than that can't see any major issues. I think it is best to add the ferts straight after the water change so plants have all they need straight away

I will probably move things next week so that Monday is rest day and water change day. I'll do the change tomorrow but next Sunday I will dose the alternating fertiliser. As of Tuesday the week after I will start the fertiliser regime fresh from the Tuesday morning. Shouldn't cause much of an issue...he says

Like you I do my water change at night (no kids there to stick hands in cabinets or get in way etc.)

It is on Saturday night/Sunday morning roundabout midnight as that is when my lower lighting goes off (dusk lighting)

My regime is:
Sunday Water Change Day (although is done at night) then on sunday before lights on - NPK
Monday - TPN
Tuesday - NPK
Wednesday - TPN
Thursday NPK
Friday TPN
Saturday - Rest (Until water change at midnight)
