Water Change And Ambient Temperatures

Hiya guys, i'm new to the forums, I recently bought an aquarium kit about 2 weeks ago and have stocked it nicely with fish, however I think it's about time for a water change!

I've set out a 5 gallon bucket of water for a few days and have put the required amount of "water conditioner" the question I have is, how can I safely change the water out without a drastic change in the water temp of my tank? will changing out a few gallons at a time change the temp too much?

That depends on the tank size, tank temperature, and room temperature. If you are changing 25% with a 10F difference, the tank temp will drop by about 2F. Most any fish can hande that, it's a trick used to get many species to spawn.
