I’am looking at stocking a new tank.What do you think would produce the most waste 5 oto’or 1 small bristle nose pleco ?It will be over filtered

The otos would produce less actual "solid" waste. And being smaller, it will gety broken down faster by bacteria/snails.

BTW, the filter really has no relevance. It can remove solid waste depending where it is positioned obviously, but the waste remains even after being broken down, which is where the benefit of water changes enters the story.
 
Thks,I’ve always done weekly water changes.I was just trying to compare the two.Just being cautious to stocking my new tank.Considering my large water changes I might go with a lemon BN pleco,just didn’t fancy both.

The bad thing about Plecostomus isn't the waste being so much as it is the form. Picture this : long stringy spaghetti strands of greenish brown stuff free floating through the water. It never sinks and goes out of sight. It's a kelp Ka-Ka maze of fecal foulness. No thanks !

I don't usually notice this with my two peppermint plecos. But, it's a pretty heavily planted tank, so that's probably got a lot to do with that.
