Waste Buld Up! And Algae!

Hi

Ive been runnign my tank for about 5-6 month yet every 2-3 weeks its builds up alot of waste like brown slimy algae! how can i stop this? the lighting on 2-10 each day and the tank is 65l with a wet and dry filther with carbon/wool/spong and ceramic media. not many fish ether only 6.

Any ideas?

Feeding them once a day just a pinch day of tropical flakes

Brown Algae or Diatoms i think then

The brown algae is common in new tanks and will probably clear up by itself given time. Nothing to worry about IMO.

You could try upping the lighting - this is a common trick, but be warned, this could lead to other more 'difficult' algae.
