In this post there are pictures of a dead fish. Don't scroll down if you don't want to see pics of a dead fish. Consider yourself warned and don't complain about it being icky. Its a DEAD FISH.

I got 5 giant dainos about a month ago, and unfortunately one died. The fish seemed ok to me beforehand, other than being very skittish and sometimes hovering in a group, which I am not sure about the second thing being typical for giant danios?

He died with a bent spine, which makes me suspect TB, though I have heard its rare.

Sorry the pics aren't real clear. Its the best I could do.

Any ideas? I didn't think to test the water at the time (stupid!) but its an established tank with a mature filter, and I had just done a 40 percent water changea few days ago, so I would think the stats would be fine.

Doesn't really look like fish TB, IME the spin usually have a few "curves" in it. To me it just looks like the fish died on you and went into rigo. Unfortunatly that is some times the result, I've pulled out an angelfish that had it's spin bend similar to that at my work, I thought the same thing originally but my manager cleared it up for me, showed me pics, sites, books and other info that led me to the conclusion that the fish went into rigo very quickly.

Its on the list the giant danio that some types of fish are more prone to it.
Not as rare as you think fish tb.

Only way to find out is to freeze it till you can take it to a vet to have tests done.
R.I.P.
