Any ideas anyone? There are actually five in total, and four of them look like the one on the right.

Thanks for any help......

was just wondering if you have a big snail problem, some people dont mind them but they do get out of control, i spent days trying to sort my massive problem with snails and eventually gave up. they spread like wild fire, i didnt mind a few but it got to a stupid amount.........then one day i went and brought some more fish which included a clown loach and to my surprise and joy all my snails where gone in a few weeks. clown loach ate the lot. hope i aint offended you as you might like the snails but if they get out of control this is a great natural way of getting rid of them

Thanks mate - that's interesting. I do actually have two large snails (about 35mm in diameter), so that would make sense. I have yet to see any baby snails in the tank, but that could be because I have 5 clown loaches in there too! I expect the clowns are picking them off as they come down into the tank from the canopy.

That's fine then - I'm not worried about having baby snails. It might be nice because they help keep the place a bit cleaner and also are quite a talking point. Only problem is that the clowns will have them!

Thanks again,

Irf.

They are apple snail eggs.

Just pick them off and put them in the bin.

The snails can climb very high - make sure your lid is secure.

I found one snail once had climbed up and got stuck on the light tube - the snail was dead.
