Wanting To Add Live Plants

i have a 29 gallon tank and right now is a planted tank with plastic plants but i wanted to add one or two live plants in it. What steps do i need to take to start and want plants do you recomend starting with if i have neon tetras and dwarf rainbows

nothing u need to do really.


jus go to your lfs and pick some plants u like the look of and plant them in your tank.

aslong as you have a decent light then theyll be fine.

yeah sam is right ..

just put them in try to avoid red plants because if you have a deep tank they slowly change colour

Make sure you give them 10-12 hours of good lighting. The fish may nibble a bit, but if they do then it is a sign they need more veggies in their diet! I have live plants in all my tanks and have had to weed out some of them from time to time. The live plants give great cover for fry if you want little ones!!!
