Wanting to add cichlid to community tank

I'm leaning towards a firemouth.

What about a blue acara? I've read they can do alright in a community tank. Is this true?

I've also been considering neolamprologus....would any of my previously mentioned fish (firemouth, severums, festivum) work with the neo?

no it is bad juju to mix africans and new worlds, while there are exceptions, for the most part the 2 need totally different water conditions
