I have a 75gallon freshwater tank that I am wanting to put new filters on. I'm looking into the Hagen AquaClear 110, which has a gph of 428. I would really like to get superb exterior filtration for my tank. If this filter is good (I have no experience with Hagen products), should I put two of this size on my tank? Or should I go with a different filter all together?

Thanks!

I have mostly AC's on my tanks for hob's. I have a box of filters in the closet that aren't AC's. I have 16 tanks running right now, all but 5 are running AC's. They are the only hob that hold up to my torture. Breeding is rough on filters, stocking is beyond your usual show tank.

For larger tanks, a hob with a canister works out great. I have a 65 set up as a show tank in my living room, an AC 70/300 & an Eheim 2026 filter it. It's the best setup I can think of.

I have a 75gal tank, and I run a fluval 304 and a 204 but thats only because my fish are big pooers and they eat meat and bits of fish that can rot and cloud the water up. A 304 would do but a 305 (the new ones) would work as well...

I think the hagen filters are pretty good...
