I want a new tank and was looking at the fluval duo deep 1200 amd stand combo.
Comes with heater filter etc...

Does anyone have any feedback on the tank and stand it comes with?

Should be getting it in a month so if it is approved by you guys

thanks

not a great pic and the tank wasnt finished when i took that but it gives you an idea.

i used a aquarium calculation site and it said it was 47 uk gallons.
it measures (80) l x (40) w x 45 (d) cm.

Does that sound right to you.

I want to set it up as chiclid tank, would it be of sufficient size an what would i be looking at with stocking rates?

jon

I'd add another filter / replace the filter if you're planning a cichlid tank.

As with most tank packages the lighting is not up to scratch if you want to have a planted tank.

Personally I'd look into buying the tank / equipment seperately, it'll cost a bit more initially, but will mean you get exactly what you want without having to replace anything.

im getting a fluval 305 external filter for the tank anyway an was either going to keep the supplied filter as a backup or sell on ebay.

any specific equipment i should get, planned so far

45g tank
fluval 305 filter
2 150w heaters (1 for each side)
Crushed coral substrate
Different sized rocks/ caves etc...

where are you planning on getting the tank from??

i know a good internet site that sells this with all the equipment and free delivery for £220 maybe you can get it cheaper?
