Wanted: U.k On-line Companies That Make Fish Tanks?

as in title, i'm in the early days of acquiring knowledge and skill needed for keeping african cichlids. what i do need at present are recognised companys/workshops that make fish tanks to ordered sizes. can anyone direct me? i've managed to find this so far..... http/www.aquariums.ltd.uk/ has anyone ever used this company for a tank? and are their prices good or bad? i'm just after a standard rectangular tank.. mybe around 48" upto 60".

have you tried any local stores?

we just used google to search for tanks, that site never came up, but we found that the online sites were more expensive than local stores selling tanks.

we ended up getting our tank and stand from the local Dobbies garden store! they had an okay selection of tanks, and did have a 48" tank, i can't remember seeing anything bigger. however, our Dobbies is a smaller store, compared to other Dobbies in bigger cities.

same with our Pets at Home, it's not a massive store, but they had a decent selection. they had a lovely tank we wanted, but we had no room in our house for it!

so yeah, not sure about that site, but the online sites we found were more expensive. sorry if that's not much help!

thanks for the replies. i'm in cardiff and have tried the local pet stores and LFS but they mainly only sell the tanks with furniture attached which is not to my taste, hence why i'm looking to find somewhere that sells tanks on their own. also so it can be made to the perfect size for the place it will be put in. But as has been said, could be pricey getting a tank delivered.

Try ebay... i saw a company on there a couple of weeks ago that custom build tanks, as well as building standard sizes. They were based in Scotland but deliver nationwide. As i remember, their prices seemed pretty reasonable. I can't remember the name though, sorry!
