Wanted Pics Of Your Egg-laden Black Tetra

I have a black tetra that i'm not sure if it constipated or pregant so please post you pic of your pregant black tetra so I can see if mine is pregant.

They can't be pregnant...they're egg layers, as far as I know, and don't breed in captivity - but DO correct me if I'm wrong...

Oh sorry guys. Thanks synirr for the pic mine kinda looks like that but I'm still confused to whether or not its constipated or is egg ladened. Does any one have a pic of a constipated black tetra?

I think the clue you might be looking for, is to try and observe her behaviour and to see if she poos or not. If she doesn't - she's more than likely constipated. Try and feed some veg and see if that helps.

I haven't seen him/her poo at all because she hides alot behind plants and I can't watch her all day for him/her to poo. I tried to feed it a pea but she wouldn't come out of hiding and it hasn't eaten in a few days because it won't come to the top to eat in the first place. I even seperated it to try and give it a pea but it just sat there and watched it sink to the bottom. and when its in the tank it only moves around if another tetra wants to sit where it is or if the pleco comes near it then it will move.
