Hello,
Hi i would like a Black & White Dalmatian Puffer Fish, does anyone know where i could get one from and what the correct latin name is for one. I am not getting much joy out of my LFS.....

It looks like it is probably from the Arothron family, try looking around nigropunctatus or stelartis (sp)

It will either be Arothron nigropunctatus or Arothron meleagris.

Do you have a tank ready and big enough for one?

My tank gets delivered this week and i dont think it will be ready for puffers until December but i want to see how hard/easy to get hold of the one i would like....

Arothron stellatus? that is one big fish, upto 4ft :eek:

From what i can find it looks like it is a colour morph of Arothron nigropunctatus.
 
I would guess at Arothron nigropunctatus as well but not sure all I know these are not very friendly and will chow down on most things it can fit in its mouth

I have confirmed it is from the Arothron Nigropunctatus family and is a colour morph, hard to get hold of but beautiful looking fish!

these are sometimes known as panda puffers the one in my shop sold for £300 :huh:
