Want To Get My Dwarf Male A Companion

I've had my male dwarf gourami about a year now, and have room for another. I have a 60cm long, 15g tank which I'm aware is big enough for a couple.

I was thinking of getting him a female, but just want to double check it would work out. Ideally i should get a couple of females, right? It's very densely planted however, so plenty of hiding places for a female.

Yeah i would have 2 females to be honest. But one should be fine aslong as she can get away from him.
