My 2 bolivian rams aren't looking nearly as colorful as other ones i've seen. Is there anything I can feed them or anyhting else I can do to bring out ther color?

Thanks again everyone,

There may not be anything wrong with your rams. Alot of the rams in the stores are fed drugs to bring out there colors.

What do you feed them at the moment?

I feed mine lots of frozen (and live if possible) to condition my rams such as bloodworm, brineshrimp, mosquito larvea etc.

I also feed dried flake/pellet food.

This should help bring out their colour.

I've feed my Bolivian Rams a variety of frozen and dried foods. That would be your best bet. I haven't seen any that are really colorful anyways. Blue Rams seem to be more colorful.

Lighting can make a huge difference, what do you have at the moment? Tank decor can help too, IMO a dark background and a dark substrate can help bring out colour. Lots of live plants or good quality fake ones will help. It's a matter of personal taste but I think that tannin stained water tends to bring out colour as well, many people don't like the look of it though.

A variety of foods will keep your fish in top shape and enhance their colour. Buy good quality flake food and supplement with frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, etc. Live food is even better but can be a bit of a hassle.
