Want Anotehr Betta

Hey guys (and gals), I'm not new to fishkeeping but I have never kept a betta with anything else and need a bit of help.

I have a heated and filtered 25L (~5 Gal) tank on my desk which I originally intended to put some small live bearers in, but now I'm thinking a betta would go nicely in there. I just want to know what else can go in there! The tank is 16" long and about 10" high and also has a light, are platy's ok to go in there or should I try something a little smaller and not as bright? Maybe even some corydoras?

I have danios, female sword tails, kissing gouramis, some kind of blue gourami and a sail fin plec with mine. all fine. I believe you are safe with anything that doesnt look too much like him, flowing fins and colouring etc.

Yeah I was thinking about Danio's we have a betta at work with some of those and they seem fine, also I originally wanted platies or swords, so I might get them first and then introduce the betta afterwards.

how about adding in some ottos in there? they're real cute fellows and dont grow big.

Do not get danios or any type of tetra that is just a disaster waiting to happen especially in a tank that size, you could try a few shrimp or a snail but thats about your limit
