Im going with an idea of a wall rack. The little tank they have side by side for the bettas in most lfs. I know this sint right for them in any way. But alright for a tempory home... And would be the same the breeding traps they are in at the moment. Also I would be able to give the meds to one tank without it effecting all the others, if im right ?

So if this was a opinion I was able to do... How would I do it ?

And how much would it roughly cost.

If you mean barracks then heres how i would do it:

Buy 3-4 cheap square critter keepers and arrange them in a row (13litres min)

add heater and filter to each one and any decorations you may want to make the "patients" feel comfortable

Place black card between the tanks so the bettas can't see each other.

Away you go

Cost wise your biggest spends are going to filter and heater but i know i can get a £5 sponge filter or a £10 filter but the cheapest i can find heaters is £10.99

Overall for the whole thing i'm not sure maybe £50

But i know you can get hold of cheap equiptment ;)

For Barracks Have a Look @ KGBettas, I think he still has a page on how his barracks work

Nope, HE has taken down the Article since the last time i Looked.

Had a search and Found this old topic on design and build
Danno's BArracks

if you have extra fish food containers or ANY small container with a lid, make your own sponge filters. so easy and CHEAP!!! if you would like a HOW-TO pm me...i use them in ALL my betta tanks from stuff just laying around.
you also could get a closed system (make one) to filter and heat all your tanks...youd need a sump tank tho...worth looking into if you are serious.
good luck.

If your going to be recueing them id want to filter each one individually as a precaution and then they all dont get exposure to meds that they might not need.

Thats just me though.

I'll be setting up mine the critter keeper way but will only be doing 2-3 as i will be permanently housing the bettas i rescue so i can't get too rescue friendly lol.

But for the health of the bettas particularly with cases of finrot and ich i'd use seperate containers in a row such as critter keepers.

As I understand where you are coming from... So the only way around this is too get another tank which is the same as a insect keeper thing... Geting heater and filter isnt a problem as I can get these cheaper and I have plently of live plants which i would take from the family tropical tank... Its just getting around his father in the mean time lol

Just get a plastic tank or two that they sell as critter keepers there £5-10 depending on how big you get them.

I can get a clear plastic tub 3G and actually fish tank for goldfish thing for around £5
