YAY!!!

Bud and I bought some new fishies today!! for the new 10gall tank in our
bedroom, he wanted to get all tetras for the tank but istead ended up
getting 2 red wagtail platy and 7 harlequin rasboras, if u read his other posts about this, he was wrong - we have 7 of the harlequins, because the lfs keeper guy mustve put an extra one in and couldnt be arsed taking it out  , so we got 7 for the price of 6  :D -
the platy so happened being picked out as one male and one female, and they seem to get along nicely so far, so it would be really interesting to see if our tank keeping skillz would allow them to end up breeding,
who knows how easy that is... ??? guess we will only find out? :fun:
hehe

Good luck starry, congratulations on the new additions and keep us posted, is this a new tank ? You do know about cycling right?

Happy fish keeping

:p

Hey,

yes we are very well aware of cycling the tank, my boyfriend is the main man and keeps it all under control, none of our fish have yet died of an ammonia spike or the likes, we even started cycling the filter in our othertank for a while b4 placing it in the new one,as to aquire bacteria in the filter.
but hey I am still rather a newb to this whole tropical fish thing and theres always room to learn new things, specially as diff species of fish have diff needs :)

Hi Starry^
Our platys are easy to care for, we just have the sunset fire, no wag tails. They seem to enjoy 'the mating dance' right after a water change :D I bet you'll have babies soon.
