After 9 hours of listening to the Beach Boys Ive finished my latest addition, I even have a few people fighting over it and the paint is barely dry!

That's amazing!! Could you tell me please (it's probably way out of my price range but I want to find out) how much you would want to do a painting of a 1303s 1972 Beetle?

I ask because my other half has one (it's in bits at the mo being re-done) and it's his 30th birthday in December so I wanted to get him something special!!

A nice idea, that painting measures 30x40cm when mounted (Im going to add a double mount to in when I get more cream card) and was for sale for £90 although I have a little bidding war between my brother in law and a friend.

I charge depending on how long the painting takes and unlike most painters I only charge £10 an hour. If you have a particular picture im happy to have a look at it, come up with a few ideas and prices and leave it up to you. You dont have to feel obliged if it is a bit out of your price range, Im an artist not a salesman.

Saying that something like a Beetle is a piece I could sell anyway, you could decide what you want and instead of buying the origonal you could buy a limited edition print, here is the link to my Bebo page where all my work is displayed

Is your username fernandofan? The link is taking me to a log-in page with that username already input!

I'll see if I can get some pictures of the type of car I'm looking at, shall I PM them to you? It's no good using his car it's covered in red oxide and has no wings/mirrors/lights or seats lol!

It's a yellow beetle which is apparently a limited edition.

Maybe I can convince him to buy me one of my Honda Magna motorbike-matching yellow!

nope? I wondered if my Mum had somehow hi-jacked my work computer (silly I know) as her log in name on most things is fernandofan!

That must be what it is, my user name is mickw91. If your mum uses bebo she should be able to bring my page up without having me on her friends list.

That's really spooky though as my Mum has never visited where I work and I don't even live at home! Mmmm...weird.

Yes-same age as well! I feel like showing him that picture to spur him on again! And I have decided that he's worth an original painting-I considered a print but hell, your only 30 once!!

Cool, I had the best idea ever.....not only would it be his model car in his colour but I will put HIS registration plate on it! that way he gets thwe additional pleasure of knowing that however many prints of the original I sell, all thoes people have a painting of his very car!

His beetle will be more well known than Herbie!

 that's even spookier!! I was going to ask if you could do that for me-to put his reg. plate on the car!!

I'll have to pop and get the reg plate for you. His B'day is on the 12 december- how long do you need to do it and how much will it all be inc. P&P?
