if he holds a typical delta tail then he should hold the genetics of delta, he will need to be spawned with a HM really to increase the span, spawning with another delta could end up with just delta or VT throw backs, but as you cant be sure 100% what tail he is. but he looks more than a VT then i would defo spawn with a HM, hoping that his BF comes out in the fry and should by rights should turn out to be SDs or a more improved version of his span.as topic title says! I just bought a baby (3 month old) betta boy and his dad was a marble light blue VT, his mum was a dark blue Delta. He's a turquoise butterfly (gorgeous!) and looks more Delta to me, will take some piccis later. I'm quite interested in the genetics of this as he's such a beautiful fish!

At 3 months he's still got lots of growing to do, I will take pics for someone else's opinion but I compared him to my VT and my SD and he really just looks like a baby version of the SD. He's got a wider span than any VT I've ever seen, and a lovely metallic colouring.
