Its a bit dumb though. I purposely went through and picked the worse choices possible. I had-
10 gallon tank
3 Oscars
1 betta
2 clown loaches
2 common plecs
1 RTBS

How stupid.... And I also had 9 comet goldies in a 10 gallon.

Hahahha.... I just noticed the java bit. Put 9 common plecs in a 10g- its so cramped. Or 9 oscars.

In fifth grade, we had a teacher that has a software like this...You would get a certain number of fish, and if you kept 90% of them alive at the end of the year you would get a ten gallon...I got it, but my mom didnt ever get around to helping me set it up, in fact, it was just set up this year!

hmm quite fun, but if an idiot goes on there then they can think they can out 9 oscars in a 10 gallon as it only restricts you to 9fish for the 10gallon as oposed to size.

I will just use it for amusement purposes. I mean, if an unkowing parent wanted a small tank for their kid, can you imagine...
Hmm... I'd like Tropical. Adventure looks fun. 10 gallon tank, I think. Hmm... Oscar? Sounds like a fun fish. I'll have two. Plectosomething.... If I can tech my kid to spell that, he'll be a genius. Bottom dweller.... They eat all the poo don't they? 3 then. Paradise fish... I used to have one. I can have 9 fish, so I'll have 4.
Wow, that looks a cool tank! I'll go out any buy it and the fish tomorrow!

Its a funny thing to play around with though. Although the rest of the site annoyed me, it said you can have 30 NT in a 15 gallon tank!

I don't know, I checked out that virtual fish thing and think it sux. It won't educate people on how to keep fish-come on 9 goldfish in a 10 gal??
That site is geared towards beginners and it does not have anything relistic-just bring them to failure!
I guess I'm just dissapointed-I expected something better.

Me too. I mean, if they can manage to not have the option of aggressive fish for beginners, they can surely get rid of the options for, say, oscars for 10 gallons. Ah well, I'll bookmark it and use it to while away the days.

I agree that it is disappointing. You can't add but one each of the plants and it doesn't tell you what plants they are supposed to be. Also has a very limited fish list. Of the 5 species in my 29 gallon, only pristellas are on their list. Also, as someone mentioned, it doesn't take size or compatibility into account. It would be wonderful if someone could come up with a good virtual site.

it would be hard to make a site with all the compatible fish and things like that because so many people have different opinions. i will agree that the tetra thing is crap though.
