I'm getting back into aquariums after a long holiday (Years). Previously I had a plant That was a rootless vine that just stayed submerged in the water, no long or actually visible roots but I can't remember the name. It was a fast growing plant and did well in most light and water environments.

Does anyone have any idea what it might be and if possible the best place to buy it in Western Canada.

Thanks in advance

A couple spring to mind that don't have the traditional root system, but as far as I can remember, all plants have roots, one way or another:
1) Cabomba
2) Egeria
3) Pennywort

I realize all plants do have roots but the plant I'm talking about doesn't root in the soil/gravel but is a submerged floater. The closest look plant I've found so far is Micranthemum as far as what the stems/leaves look like but this is a planted type of plant.

The 3 that you listed are all planted types of plants and not what I'm looking for but Thanks for the help.
