Vine Root Help

Soaked it for 24hrs and it floats... Any ideas to pin it down???

All the wood I've got in my tanks took weeks to get waterlogged I had to pin it down in the water with rocks.

Ok currently i have managed to wedge it but it is pushing against the glass... Is this safe or could this cause to crack the glass?

If it's not pressing really hard against the glass it should be just fine.
What I do before putting any new wood in my tank is let it get water logged in a 5 gallon bucket that way you can stack rock on it and not worry about breaking glass

Pour hot water over it first and waterlog it in a highly acidic/soft water for 3 days.
