Well i have been noticing this vine like growth in my aquarium for the longest time now (since the start) and i never knew what it was.... i already tried researching it over the net but could not find any matches

anyways it looks like little vines that wrap itself on almost everyting, not that its a pest (looks more natural actually) i just want to know what it is :)

its really thin, a bit wider then a strand of hair. Il try to take pictures of it later but if anyone can help me identify what it is.. it will be greatly appreciated :)

I think i have it too. Unsure of what species, but i just remove it when it grow too long. Its simply to just detach from other plants! :)

ahh forgot to take a picture and im at work, i dont think its the root of the plants, its really green and vine like :p hmmm research research

i wanna know what it is too. i think i have it to. looks like a fresh stalk of grass or something but never gets any wider...mine is kinda pail-ish green. if you post i pic i might be able to see if all three of us have the same thing :p

i googled and i googled until i could google no more...... still could not find anything...

this is the closest pic i could find (taken from plantgeek! hope its ok) it looks like the one i find in my tank but when i googled more info on Utricularia minor it was too big (those pictured in google)

that looks more like mine then the other pic.
any luck on finding out what it is. i trried google. an a plant I.D. site but i cant find anything

i thinks it really is bladderwort!! something like lesser lesser lesser bladderwort because it is so small!! doesnt anybody else have this in their tanks ? :)

Looks like Utricularia gibba, which is a carnivorous plant.
I have that plus several other aquatic Utricularia growing in my tank since I also grow many carnivorous plants.

oic! it does look like it ? should i be worried about this plant ? im thinking that the only tank inhabitant that could be affected by the plant are my shrimps.... do they pose a problem ? my shrimps are no ghost shrimp in terms that baby shrimps are not free swimming insect like things, they hatch as small tiny versions of the adult shrimps.....

this Utricularia gibba will it be capable of capturing the baby shrimp ?

The bladders are so small I doubt it will catch your baby shrimp.
I'm setting up a tank at work that will have Cherry Shrimp in it. I will also be adding my carnivorous plants to that tank as well.

ic thats a relief! this plant is really interesting ! what sort of creatures does it consume ? infusoria ? things like that ? will i be able to see it cathching the creatures ?? you know like a venus fly trap ?!?!?!

hehehe
