finished stocking my 300ltr. am pretty happy with the fish and just wondered what other people thought

5 denisonii barbs
4 pictus catfish
2 dwarf gourami
2 african butterfly fish
2 cupid cichlids
2 firemouth cichlids
2 german rams
1 golden panchax
1 l015
1 l018 golden nugget
1 amano shrimp
1 bamboo shrimp

Pictus are extremely active at night and zoom around the tank like lightening. Any fish that goes to the bottom to rest at night (which is a lot) could be damaged. As long as they're bigger fish they should be ok.

Cannot comment on the amount of fish as I'm not really good at that.

they zoom around durign the day too, i love them at feeding time. there are no small fish anymore so everything should be ok

The Denisons Barb do not suit that stocking, they are temperate fish (<20C for most of year, upto mid-20s in "summer season") that also prefer a lot more current than a lot of your other fish. Their lifespan will be drastically shortened by the permanent ~25C you probably have the tank set at for the needs of the other fish which keeps their metabolism high, not too mention mention they will eat more; excrete more; plus the hyper-activity is likely to really exaggerate their skittish personality.

Denisons, along with Danios seem to be the most common fish to be placed in unsuitable tank setups, that do not reflect the environment from where they originate. Many fishkeepers see the 16-25C temperature range found in many a Denisons' profile (and 18-24C for Danios), sadly seeing the mid-20s as a common ground to combine them with tropical species.
