I am in love! Only problem is I have no idea where to find one Are these not a common fish? I live in Canada, Van Island to be exact, so if anyone knows where I could find one on the island, would possibly go on the mainland, let me know! I'll ask my LFS if they can order them in, but what do u think they would bring them in as? Redhead cichlids?

This was one of the first sites I came up with (Click Here).

I'm completely unfamiliar with them but they are beautiful fish. I was considering getting a Flower Horn to mix with my Oscars but for several reasons I have been hesitant. Some of the Viejas have the same positives I liked about FHs but without some of the negatives. Looks like I may be making another special order

Thanks for posting your interest in the fish. I wouldn't have found them without ya! It will be a couple months before I'm stocking my big tank, so you have a head start on me... but my LFS lady has pretty good connections and she likes me...........

I just bought one about two weeks ago. Nobody at store knew anything about it. I wanted something different and researched it on internet. I found very little info. Doesn't seem popular. I thought it was cool looking and fit the parameteres I was looking for in a fish. The only Knowledge of this fish is what I have read. The fish is @ 3 inches now, seems peacful, swims fast and eats alot.

yea i have to order one from a cichlid breeder...no one here even knows what they are! they're gorgeous fish, and will color up quite nicely!

It's one of the fish used to create the flowerhorn monstrosity. Makes you wonder why people aren't happy with the natural fish doesn't it?

LFS Got these in and did not know what they were other than the label on bags. I had to research the fish and tell them what little I knew. Then bought the fish. This isn't a petstore its a fish only!
