I'm two weeks in to a fishless cycle. I have a live plant that obviously had a few hitch-hikers, as I suddenly have a snail explosion (speaking of which, does high ammonia levels hurt snails the same way it hurts fish? They're very cute, and I rather like the snails, but there's like 9829428948294 of them!)
Anyway, on to the topic. I have these TINY little white things zipping around the tank. Like, the size of a period, so no way could I get a photo of them. They move very fast from place to place, faster than I'd expect a snail to move. Could they be very baby/just hatched snails? Or some parasite brought home from the plant or snails?
I don't have fish yet, so I'm not really concerned, just curious.
