Is it possible to get very lucky and find an extremely passive convict?? I bought a Female con for my 30 gallon tank to breed them and she got very very beat up. I moved her to my other 30 until she healed. There she was with 3 Neon Tetras and an Angelfish and she did not even go near them. Infact most of the time she was being chased away by my angel. About 2 Days ago she was fully healed so i moved her to my 55 gallon gourami tank (just incase she decided to snack on a tetra) and she is very very peaceful. She swims along side the Opaline gourami (the only other peaceful fish in the tank) and swims away from the Blue and Gold Gouramis. Is it possible that i found a very passive con? I am planning on letting her stay in the 55 until she gets bigger (shes about 2.5-3 inches right now) and then moving her back with the male con, but if she stays this peaceful i am thinking about leaving her in the 55 and buying another female to breed..

always possible. ive had really mean ones and some very docile. i have 2 in with my gold gourami too. the meaner ones are in my cichlid community

i call them reccessive...... i have some dominant ones and some reccesssive ones...... dominant ones trying to pair up, but there was only 1 dominant female, so one of my dominant males is all alone

definately possible. I have my convict in with a little red eye tetra for about a year and a half now, and she is the cutest and nicest fish ever. I think females in general have better tempers than males, except when any of my other fish try to go into her house! (a treasure chest big enough for almost all of them yet it is hers and nobody else is allowed to come in!) lol
