well after my week of fishy depression (still not to happy) due to the purchase of 2 female swords both of which got ich, and one died and the other has had the ich still for going on 2 weeks now, then I realized that my german ram, I've had for 3 months now is sick because he's thin as a a rail (can see his spine through his skin) and a sunken belly, and I have no tank to treat him in, and don't want to mess up the balance of my 20g tank with meds, so I'm hoping this ich will go away so I can get the sword out and the ram in and treated, just been quite the run of bad luck lately so I haven't been to fish thrilled, after my rant like I was saying my gold barb is FAT, I think it's a female and therefore was thinking for a while that maybe she had some eggs but she's been fat for a while now. With my luck lately she's probably sick too, but here she is:

(that's the ram in the background not too good of a pic to see his thin-ness but maybe I can find a shot of how thin he is)

on with the barb:

lack luster color, skinny, sunken belly, that's my ram and here he is (and the tank gets plenty of food (as seen by my gold barb above) so it's not starvation, though I think I'm going to try and isolate him in a breeder net and feed him in there for a while) with shrimp, bloodworms, and flakes:

yeah I feel like a terrible fish keeper, I think it's an internal parasite and will be looking for a treatment and hopefully get him treated soon. if I have to I may have to set up something small (like a couple gallons or so) as I don't think he'll make it much longer without some treatment.

Same thing happened to my Platy. He got all thin nd his spine was bent. I tried feeding him more and i tried different foods but he always ate the same amount.
