Velvet And Ick ?

Help !! All my fish are itching... a couple have little white spots on their fins and a couple have like a blueish coating on them.
Reading up on it it sounds like they have velvet or ick, or both.
Can anyone reccommend the best teatment for both conditions ???
Any help would be greatfully appreciated, thanks

I swear by eSHa Exit for both white spot and velvet. Apart from that, make sure your water quality is tip top and do plenty of water changes, making sure you use a good dechlorinator and are giving the gravel a really good clean, as the parasite lives in the gravel when it's not on the fish.

Also make sure your tank isn't over-stocked and that the fish are suitable for your size of tank and your water. Some people may disagree, but I think that most white spot is caused by poor water or by stress.

You can also try raising the temperature by a few degrees if your fish can take it and adding aquarium salt (but not if you're using another medication).
