I have red an article on the net sumwhere n i was wandering if angels would eat any type of small fry or only guppy fry. thanks
Angelfish will eat anything they can fit into their mouths. :fun:

alright thanks. How many angels do U think i can keep in a 55g planted. :D My plan is to keep 9 cuz i will add 3 more each week to my tank about every 3 to 4 weeks to make sure the ones i have is healthy n ready for som more friends.

what are ur opinions about how many angels could be kept in a 29g tall. N they will be the only fish in the tank besides the Pleco. Thanks in advance.

I don't know a thing about plecos (except...don't they get really big?), but, aside from the pleco, you could keep 3 angels in a 29 gallon. In a 55 gallon tank you could keep 5 angels...I suppose if you've got other fish in that 55 (or that 29) that would probably take away from the amount of angels you should have.

Regarding the pleco: If you are keeping it because of algae control, you might want to look at otocinclus afinis instead. Otos stay pretty small and do a fabulous job at cleaning algae, IMO. I have 3 otos in my 45 gallon angel tank. You should keep at least 3 otos together as they like to be in groups.

HTH!

OH...another important thing to remember is: You really should quarantine (QT) all new fish for at least 3 weeks before putting them with your established fish.

Like your idea of adding 3 new fish every week, could lead to disaster if one of those new fish is sick. You could end up spreading all sorts of disease to your established fish.

You could use your 29 as QT and then use the 55 gallon for your angels.

ouch. thanks cali for all of ur info.n yes i am keeping the pleco as an algae eater i know they can get pretty big but its ok. i am buying angels from a private owned local fish store that only gets their angels from local waters. i know their fish is safe n can almost trust them bcuz they are breed in local waters n i am in the area so the water is the same. :D . lucky me. thanks for ur advice.
