Hi
I have an otto and two angelicus botia/botia kubotai, i've read the botia should have their diets supplemented with veggies, and i've read the otto would really appreciate some extra greens in the tank.
However I haven't read how on earth you prepare these things... this is my second batch of fish and i'm having about the same luck with feeding them greens as i had with the first group.
So how exactly do you do this..and when i say exactly..i mean everything except the "walk to the aquarium" steps haha. At the moment I think i am attempting to feed blanched spinach and peas. I wrapped them in a very wet napkin and microwaved for 2 minutes. I live in a dorm so anything requiring more than a microwave isn't gonna work out. I say I think i am because I don't actually know what blanched means, this recipe on google said something about putting the spinach in boiling water. I guess i could have microwaved a cup of water..didn't think of that..
And i did rip the shells of the peas off and squeeze the inside out into the tank...so far no one in the tank has touched either delicacy except my dwarf gourami who sampled the peas when they fell in but let me know what he thought by spitting it right back out.
Thank you!
