Value My Fish

Hi, I'm dismantaling my comunity tank in favour of mawali cichlids. I'm selling all my fish to a work mate but we've not discussed money at all yet. What do you guys think is a fair value as I'll be sad to see them go.


1 comon plec about 8 inches
2 v large angels, 1 koi 1 marble
5 large glass cat fish
4 silver dolars fully grown
a pair of pearl gouramis 3 inches

i want the best price for them as any money i get will go towards my new set up.

If i was selling to friends I'll not even charge them that much, as hopefully they will keep them going well. However adding that many fish to a new or even established tank can have problems as it's a very large biomass of fish.

thanks for that. we were going to add the fish in stages over a couple of weeks. i thought the plec would be worth more than that

sadily not many people want large pleco's so their harder to sell.

i would think the silver dollars fully grown would be more, they are way more expensive here

its funny how that works, it seems large common plecs go for less than small ones. my lfs sells 2-3 inch plecs for $5ea and they had a 10 inch one for $2

I'd say you'd do well to get that. I find it's normally around a third of what LFS sell fish at. Also most large plec's have to be given away, they just get to a size too big for most people (24" in some species).

If you can get the price above though, you'd do well in my eyes.

Lol yeah he might, he has a massive tank (ive seen pics) that just has silver dollars in it! It looks amazing and he takes any that he can lol, I dont know him personally cuz he just replied to an add that I put up, but I have his number I think, I will PM you if I find it
