Vallisneria Runners

I picked up some vallisneria last week. Each bunch (I suppose that's the term right?) has already put out numerous runners with new plants in chains sorta like parent plant > 10" > 4" > 1".

Does it really grow and propagate this fast? I feel like it's going to overrun the tank.

If vallis takes well, it grows well too It is easy enough to control though, snip a runner off (and send it to someone on here!) and it will take a while to start sending further runners. Alternatively use the runner growth to replace older plants to keep all of yours fresh.
