So all of my plants (especially my crypts) are doing great, even my java ferns are doing nicely now that I've taken off most of the browning leaves and are growing nice new ones.
My vallisneria aren't really growing though it appears, which is surprising based on what I've read. Every source I've read says they spread like mad, but mine are doing pretty poorly.
I have cut browned parts of the leaves off diagonally (not the whole leaf, just the bad part) because I remember seeing someone say it looks better than cutting it off straight, and it does.
Here's a picture of them.
I unwrapped them from the spongey stuff they came in and found they were actually made of lots of tiny shoots. I planted these shoots individually as you can see in the picture.
Maybe I should move them to the middle of my aquarium where the lighting is a bit brighter...? Though I don't really want them there...
Have I planted them right? I just took the shoots and put them straight into the play sand.
I dose 5ml of PlantaMin every week and my other specs are in my signature.
Perhaps my light is too dim?...

Uh ok, so I replanted without the crown submerged in the substrate because I read that isn't good for them.
Any other suggestions..?
