Can I spilt these at the root? or do I need to buy more plants?

Just since putting a small bit of flora redsea under the sand these are growing really well

Yes you can split them at the root, they will spread like wild fire in most aquariums. Mine tried to take over my 260l tank

I second that! Mine is trying to take over my 55 gallon. Just let your Vallis spread naturally. Natural always looks better.
