This is the second time I have bought some twister and it has just started to break down and dissolve in the tank. Could anyone help?

I have a 30 Litre tank with a small 8W light (I know its low light) no CO[sub]2[/sub] and am using Tetra Plant PlantaMin Fertiliser in accordance to the instructions. (5ml per 10L at each water change).

Vallis requires more light than you have in the tank.

I was under the impression that this was a low light plant which is what it says in the book I have in front of me. However after looking around on the internet it seems that it requires High to medium light levels. Does anyone have a list (possibly photos) of some easy low light plants?

Java fern, java moss, amazon sword, anubias nana are a few. Either way yuou should have atleast 1wpg of light, so in your case 30w.

does he not have over 1 WPG anyway?

30litre = 7.5gal

he has 8 watts lol :good:

That is VERY low lighting, i'd say get up to around 1.5-2 WPG if you want the vallis growing properly

I'm not too sure that I can do anything about it as the light is fitted into the lid which I don't think I can replace with anything else there are fittings for what arcadia say are spot light fittings but I haven't seen any and wouldn't know if they would add much extra wattage as they are LED lights?
