I decided to treat myself for valentines day to some guppys. Ordered them from Kesgraves. They arrived at home, hubby was instructed how to aclimatise them to the the tank, stunning fish. I had pre med the tank with protozin, done this before when adding new fish, just as a back up. Within three days two of the males tails were nearly gone. First of all I thought it could of been the Congo Tetras having a go, so I moved the males back with the females into the 60 litre. Then all hell broke loose, major Ich breakout, I've lost 5, at first it was the blue torpedo's I got delivered, now I've lost 2 of my original females, which I got fromn Gill. Totally Gutted. I'm doing hugh water changes and using Protozin, which seems to be helping. What I'm also worried about is the males were in the 4ft tank, so I'm keeping a good eye on the fishes behaviour in that. I have got fry in both tanks so extra worry there. The 60 litre has gravel and plants in it, would it be better to clear it out completely while I treat the fish? All my tanks are well estabished over thee years running, I defo put it down to the new introductions, do you think I should inform the seller of this problem

It sounds like whoever you got the guppys from has a serious problem on their hands. I would tell them, yes.

You seem to be doing the right thing, good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks, I will send him an E mail. There have been a few people fromm TFF who have bought from him, that's why I thought I would treat myself. Just unlucky I guess. Just lost the largest female
