Hi all,
I'm sharing a document I've been putting together for work which calculates the UVc dose from a UV steriliser. I've put a fair amount of effort into it and it might be of use to some of you, you'll have to take a few measurements from the unit you have and you might have measure the outer diameter of the UV chamber and guess the thickness of the pipe (unless you want to cut one in half). I've left a system with a TMC vecton 850 on it for an example. Once you have a dose, you can refer to https/www.clordisys.com/pdfs/misc/UV Data Sheet.pdf for a general idea on UVc doses required to kill microorganisms (multiply mJ/cm^2 by 1000 for µJ/cm^2)
I'd be interested in seeing the specs of a range of units.
The lamp arc length can be regarded as the light emitting portion of the lamp. I hope this file functions on google docs.
