if a fish comes in with it and the parasites fall off the fish or the bubble bursts the parasites will go into the water, as to whether it goes through the skimmer or not depends on how good your flow is, it may fall to the bottom and reproduce in the substrate

i do qt my fish just never had a uv in my tank and i have just sold of all my corals so the six foot tank is the large angel tank so if i qt my fish and i dont have white spot then an out brake should not happen

With propper QT procedues, UV is not needed. IMO, UV treats the symptom not the caurse. The usual caurse of disease in fish is stress, so if they need UV to remain healthy, the care is not up to scratch. If this is an issue, you want to be looking for whats stressing them and eliminating that caurse :good:

UV has it's place, mainly in LFS's where stock turn-over is high and QT not always practicle, but for general fishkeeping hobbyists, it should be far from essential IMO :good:

All said a done, many tang keepers seem to realy struggle without UV though, this said  ...

All the best

Yup, UV acts more as a preventative measure than a treatment. It's like being dilligent about washing your hands and keeping good hygene. Do that and you're less likely to get sick, or spread infection. Same thing with UV. Makes fish less likely to develop or transmit disease but does NOT cure disease.
